Description: suggestion

[Topic split because it deserves it's own thread. --hzf]
a Support board for everything (one support board that users can get help for anything and everything.) Got a question.. and need an answer. Searched Yahoo Search ® and Google and couldn't find anything. Every Support offers everything for all your questions.
^ I sound like a TV Ad person or Radio Announcer.

Sorry for the late reply, I wanted to see if we could get any ideas from our members before I posted my thoughts.
Any who, I personally would love to develop a support board that offers support for everything. However, it would have to be something that we establish in the future. It would be a good idea for the staff to learn some more about the items we supported. The staff and I will surely get around to discussing it.
So, if you ever happen to find a bigboardssupport.com pop-up out of nowhere, consider your suggestion granted. :)

And the staff could also relate more to the members. Finding out what bothers them, why they stoped doing what they loved and so on.
We should make a "Child" BB, gives all the same recources, but also like you said, called it "BigBoardsSupport.com" would be really cool ;)

A support board that covers everything. That has been attempted by many in many places and none have ever gone very far. The best thing is cover a subject or two, and cover them well. That is what will draw in and keep visitors. While Digg has areas that cover everything everywhere, even Kevin admits that without the user base, they would still be digging techy stuff only. While it is good idea at face value the concept is a tad out of reach.

very true. But there could be a vote, on the Users most annoying thing about BB or anything related, and "we" could possibly help? that might work.

If we did create a support board that offers support for everything we would, indeed, depend greatly on our member base. Starting out in the areas of support that we know most about is also a good idea, and something that we would surely consider.
I can already picture what the board would look like in some ways and what we'd offer support for. Having individual user groups control specific sections of the support areas would help manage and maintain them.
I would find it hard to manage a board that offers support for everything, because that would just be physically impossible since no one really knows about everything, but starting out small in the subjects that we're knowledgeable in and retrieving users that are knowledgeable in other subjects that we are not would help us establish an online support community that expands as we grow larger and gain more knowledge.

Kinda like how Google gew. They started small people started liking their service and they grew. Now they are #1 for search engines.
That would be really cool and nice for the 'members' also. Cause then we can interact more with the members and learn about them. Not being a Professional talking to them, but a true human being. Alot of people would/will respect that, but it would be hard to get their respect. As like you said, no one knows everything.
