How many forums are you an admin at? and do you find that some are getting shortchanged?


I admin at 3 different sites and am finding that I am posting the same topic on more than one board more and more often.

It's three for me, too. I've been intensely involved with one of them the past couple of weeks (see my topic about admins from one board trying to dictate what their members may/may not say on other boards). This has been a nightmare exercise in diplomacy and compromise, and I've had to get pretty blunt with a few people.

However, this will pass and I will ultimately benefit from the experience. During this time I've had to turn over one of the other forums to another, more junior, admin and the third one pretty much carries on without too much "adminning" anyway, since the members happen to be intelligent, civilized people who haven't had anything remotely resembling a flame war there for over a year! ^_^

I hold moderator positions at a few other forums, plus a Yahoo! group... but most of the time it's just casual things that need doing. The Yahoo! group is the most time-intensive one, since it's a local Freecycle group and I'm dealing with real-time situations.

Until I finish training a couple of the junior Staff at one of the forums, I think my limit has pretty much been reached. :mellow:

I only admin the one site, but I have admined my own sites before.

Don't think I'd have enough time for another board, tbh. Well, maybe. Prefer to be a moderator though.

only one, it's too much work managing more than one board. I was an inexperienced admin before joining BB, now I am a more knowledageable admin :magic:
