Title: is school really all that bad?

I never tried any tricks to get out of going to school. It was a lot easier to just go than to convince my mom that I was really sick. But then again, it never occurred to me to GLUE MYSELF TO THE BED! :haha:

MONTERREY, Mexico (AFP) - A 10-year-old Mexican boy glued his hand to his bed to avoid going back to school after the Christmas break, authorities said Monday.

"I thought if I was glued to the bed, they couldn't make me go to school," the boy, Diego, told AFP. "I didn't want to go, the holidays were so much fun."

"I remembered my mom had bought a very strong glue," he said of the industrial strength shoe glue he used to stick his hand to the bed's metal headboard, where he stayed stuck for two hours.

His mother Sandra Palacios was unable to free him and called paramedics and police to help. Diego watched cartoons while they worked to unglue him, eventually using a spray to dissolve the chemical adhesive.

"I don't know why this happened. He is a very good boy," said his mother.

Diego eventually made it school a few hours late.

I never really mind school, I tend to do well in academics and I enjoy being around people in the social environment. I have never missed school because I wanted too.

I work at a school and it isn't that bad. :P

I don't think school is too bad, just boring. The only thing I hate about it is waking up early and going there :P

I hate going to school, I always get in trouble.

As much as I hate going to school, I think it's great just to see mates, as I don't really get to keep in contact with them out of school, my holidays were spent by myself, playing my computer, and doing other random stuff 13yr old computer nerds do :P

What happened to 'Assuie boy' Louis? Huh!

School is fun every now and then, but when you get the strict teachers, school becomes boring and annoying.

I know there is a spelling mistake there, it's what Louis called me over MSN and it has stuck with me and I will never let him forget it.

I did not realise that I typed that word but I do remember calling you Aussie boy.

I used to hate school because I always got beaten up by someone's friends.

Someone was a boy that lived in the same village as me. I upset him a lot because I always beat him in card games and marble games. And he took it out on me by asking his friends to beat me up in the school bus. It was embarrassing and I always ended up walking home with red eyes.

:( Sorry to hear, I'm friends with basically everyone I communicate with at school. The only fights I get into are just playing around with friends. I don't take a bus to school, I walk home which is about a 15minute walk.

I don't really have all that bad of a problem with school. Sure I don't really care to wake up early in the morning and get ready for it, but the days seem to go by faster when I have something to occupy me, which the school does a magnificent job of doing. lol

But I guess these students don't like school. xD

I get up at about 7:15am, take a shower, eat breakfast and play the computer for half an hour before leaving for school. I then walk home (As stated in my post before).

Also, nice find Clay :D

I get up at 6:30am, shower, eat, take pills, and then catch the bus at 7:05am. lol

I personally don't like taking buses, one of my friends hates them, he has to get up at 5:30, get ready for school, take a bus from his house to a school he doesn't go to, then the next one to our school. And after school he has to wait 2 hours before catching the bus home.

If that makes sense :P

I used to get up at 5am when I was in primary school. I always wished that I stayed close by my school so that I could get up late and walk there. If you ask me to do that now, I will definitely need a nap after school. It's funny when I think about it sometimes, when I was in primary school, I could play all day long without getting tired. :D

I've never missed a day at school in like 7 years...lol :P.

Wow, I couldn't go a year without being ill. Let alone seven years!
