We'd like to thank our good friend, theking111 for the new custom skin, Tropical Sky that he has carefully designed and built just for BB over the past few months. We are also grateful to Mwr247 for his help in making and tweaking much of the coding for BB 3.08. Thanks guys!

Now, for the list of what we did:

• Custom skin and graphics by theking111. He's even designed a new smilie set for us. :)
• New Forums:

1. Resource Archive: redirect links that instantly take you to the code and skin indexes of the archive.
2. ZB Reference Library - a mirror of the former IF Admin Reference Library forums for archiving codes, themes, and documentations relevant to the ZetaBoards forum system.
3. Advertising Solutions - enjoy a variety of packages to display your advertising link on BB in exchange for post count currency.
4. Community Exchange - the BB trading post where you can swap services and advertising with other admins.
5. Computers and Technology - provide and get information about equipment, software, and new developments in the cyberworld.
6. Art Exhibit - a showcase for member graphics.
7. Graphics Talk - discussions of graphics technology and tips.
8. Graphics Tutorials - share step-by-step processes for graphic creation.

• Renamed/Repurposed Forums:

1. Welcome Wagon (formerly Check in - Check out) where new members get a free week of advertising just for posting their introduction.
2. Your Views (formerly combined with Our News). Give feedback and suggestions about the site.
3. Support Desk (now includes search desk services)
4. Service Archive (formerly Solved Support)
5. Invisionfree Reference Library (formerly Admin Reference Library). Our coding and graphics challenges are held and voting takes place in this forum.

• Updates to Current Features:

1. An updated CSS integrated Quick Edit feature with your choice of double click or button activation. You will also have cancel and full edit options from the quick edit screen.
2. Custom submenu tab style. Still the useful BB control panel it has been, only visually enhanced.
3. Archive table appearance refreshed to coordinate with new skin colors.

• New Features:

1. BB Manual - your guide to getting the most our of your BB experience.
2. BB's Top Rated Codes - we've picked our top choices for most useful and best working codes from the categories in the Code Archive. Reviews and preview links are included.
3. BB's Top Rated Codes from all other IF boards. There are some great codes that haven't been posted in the Snippets. Here are our picks.
4. Members Online Today - look in the board stats and see who else has visited Big Boards today. Many thanks to our own staff "Codah"....Mwr (but you can call him Mike).
5. Enhanced Profile - a new look and custom fields that provide a more complete picture of you to the BB community. Another great code from Mwr.
6. Text Link ads display in board stats - your board link can be placed here by purchasing one of our advertising packages.
7. Button ads - your board can appear in the button ad display at the top of our forum pages.
8. Forum Roadsigns Place your ad in whatever forum on BB your think will work best for you.
9. Feature Highlight- found at the bottom of BB pages, this feature will rotate explanations and links to BB features that you might not have noticed or checked out before.
10. Club150 member board image link - Club150 members can earn that display space by being the top Club150 poster for the week.
11. Staff smilies! shortcuts: cory - hzf - clay - mike

As you can see, there have been major changes, and many updates and revisions were made to BB's content and styling. Despite the days of combing the board minutely in preparation for this release, we could have missed some thing. If you find problems with function or display of BB 3.08, please make a topic in the Bug Reports forum and alert us to it.

Please enjoy BB 3.08 and tell your friends about it. You can find the new advertising link images in the drop down under the Home button in the submenu navigation bar. If you are already using the advertising images from BB 5.07, your images will not be automatically updated this time . You will have reinstall a new linking code.

We'll be starting up the Code and Graphic challenges again shortly. Watch for the announcement banner, which will now be posted in the InvisionFree Reference Library forum description.

Great to be back! Great job with the skin and all the added features, I'm glad it's back as I'm been bored as it's been revamped. Once again great job to all BB staff and I'll see you guys around on here!

Looks fantastic, and I can't wait till I get the website finished, up and running and then it'll be ten times better. :P Sorry for the delays folks, I'll explain later. :D It should of been finished at Christmas, but then the skin changed.

It is a US custom to preceed the year with the month designation :)

3 = third month (March)

.08 = year (2008)

Yes, it is a US custom. But I like it the other way around. :D Surprised teachers haven't told me there's not 20 something months in a year for like 29/02/08. :P hehe

welcome back BB..i was anxious so much, i PMed helena on IF a few times lol...nice job guys..and my acct is still intact!

We're certainly sorry anyone had to experience anxiety while BB was offline. Considering the magnitude of the changes,it seems that a week to do all this was fairly speedy.

Last spring, at the last major revamp, BB was offline for nearly 6 weeks, mainly to do that massive job of moving the code and skin archives from a separate board into BB forums and pages.

never go through moving a whole board..i had the pleasure of losing original acct after 4 boards i was on moved..every saved files were mistakenly deleted lol..i like the skin too

I'm also glad that we stuck with invisionfree, I just cannot stand ZB, it looks so clunky and annoying.

I'm late on this, but I thought I'd say something anyways. I really liked the last skin by Kman as it's a classic and you rarely see it used on a forum worth viewing, but this is a definitely a nice change that makes up for it. :) Good job guys!
