Little known fact, but technically today is actually not St. Patrick's day! The Roman Catholic Church moved it for the year of 2008 to March 15th because today is Holy Monday, and they wanted to avoid conflicts or something weird. It will be back to normal again next year. The last time it was changed was in 1940, and it's expected to happen again in 2160.
