Title: I'm back!
Description: Didn't you miss me!

RHRey - March 18, 2008 11:19 PM (GMT)
Well, I recently came back from holidays, here is a quick rundown on each day :P

Day 1 - Got up at 4:30 in the morning to begin driving at 5:00! We drove for about 12 hours on the first day. Making it to the state in between my state and the state we are heading to.

Day 2 - We don't wake up as early, but get up at 8:00. Today we drove for about 8 hours, making it to the destination state, but not to the town wanted.

Day 3 - Today isn't a big rush but we still get up at 8:00. Today we make it to the wanted town and to our motel for the next 5 days after about 6 hours of driving. We settle in and have a bit of a relax day, while doing a little sight seeing.

Day 4 - Today we go to Sea World! Home of the only Polar Bears in Australia! Sea World was amazing, the huge tanks with sharks, sting rays and thousands of fish, which can be viewed from 2 angles and has an underwater viewing area, which makes the moment even greater. We also watched a dolphin show, how well the dolphins were trained was spectacular! We stayed here until it closed which was about 5:00.

Day 5 - Movie World! Hollywood on the Gold Coast, many great rides and shows on, I even was part of one of the stunt shows! It was great fun, while I was here I went on my first roller coaster :P The biggest roller coaster was pretty scary there, going from 0-100 kilometers in 2 seconds, reaching about 50 meters in the air. The Batman drop was a gut dropper, climbing about 100 meters in a matter of seconds then dropping up and down for about a minute... A great day was had!

Day 6 - Another day off... Not much went on today, parents go shopping while we droop along behind...

Day 7 - Wet 'n' Wild! The theme park I'd been waiting for the whole holidays, finally here. Went on the Aqua Race with my father, he was scared... I wasn't though as I'd been on one at the smaller water park on a school excursion. We went on a tube water slide, which was boring and not worth on half hour wait.. We pretty much went on water slides for the rest of the day until my little brother (aged 8) got really sick and we had to leave... When we got back to our motel we went into the pool.. Hehe..

Day 8 - Not much goes on today, we leave our motel and drive 6 hours to the next town for the Zoo we are going to. After arriving we went in the pool... Which was small, not very deep and freezing cold..

Day 9 - Australia Zoo! The Home Of The Crocodile Hunter (AKA Steve Irwin, in case you didn't know he passed away September 2006 aged only 44...) The Zoo was great, we saw snakes, crocodiles, elephants and heaps of other animals! We saw thousands of lizards which we let to run loose around the Zoo. We fed the elephants and went to the Crocoseum, built and designed by Steve Irwin. The Zoo just wasn't the same without Steve, but a great day was defiantly had by all.

Day 10 - We pack up and drive for about 8 hours, settling down at a motel for the night. The pool was nice and deep here. Also pretty warm.

Day 11 - Today we planned to drive home, leaving at 7:00, driving for 16 hours! Getting home just past 11:00pm, it was great to be home!

I had a great holiday, but it's also great to be back!

Sounds like you had a lot of fun, which is good to hear! I've been to a few of those places in America, like Sea World and Wet 'n' Wild (now renamed "Hurricane Harbor"), so I know how much fun those places are. Glad to see you back and good to hear you had a pleasant vacation. ^_^

Thanks Cory, never knew they had them in America, but I gathered they would, anyway, back into my usual schedule. Now planning to help more if possible...

Nice to have you back RHRey. It sounds like you and your family had a great time.

I remember that horrible accident wtih Steve Irwin---a stingray barb to the heart. So sad for his family.

[And yes, we missed you!]
