Title: Request for online/offline legend

theking111 - March 19, 2008 03:36 AM (GMT)
I would like to see the offline and online legend installed in this board :lol:

Yeah, would be nice, and easier to see if a member is online or offline when posting. So you know if you're going to get a quick reply or not, without having to go all the way back to the main page to see if they are on or not. Good thinking Louis!

i personally don't really care a lot but if you decide to install i wrote a code for it once,
CODE
<script>
/* Online/Offline legend
Written by Godkillah
from phantom-designs.net */

var OnlineImg='IMAGE FOR ONLINE MEMBERS';
var OfflineImg='IMAGE FOR OFFLINE MEMBERS';
var OnlineColor='green';
var OfflineColor='red';

</script><script src="http://h1.ripway.com/godkillah/OnOffStats.js"></script>
it shows in both profile and miniprofile :)
i don't mind if you prefer to use another 1 though

We were testing an online-offline code before the revamp. Actually since our IRC room is only used sporadically, I'm not sure what the benefit of having it is.

Somebody want to enlighten me? :)

Is that a trick question? :P

Godkillah, is it possible to get that code to work without images? Because I know I tried it on a board once, and I think the status just stayed at 'Loading'.

Not a trick question...just wondering what is so urgent that you can't click the "who's online?" link in the submenu dropdown to see who is here?

Clay - March 20, 2008 02:44 AM (GMT)
I think what they mean is that when you are posting in a topic, you want to know if the person you are replying to is going to be posting soon.

And the 'who's online' gives the last 60 minutes, true it is easy to figure out how long it has been sense their last click. :D

[good point, Clay. :) I suppose if you wanted to know someone could get your PM instantly, that would be good--hzf]

Same thing happens on my board. Status loading.

I suppose if the majority is satisfied with the current load time, there's no harm in adding it back to BB. :)

Justin - March 21, 2008 10:12 PM (GMT)
Thanks for adding it Cory :D I noticed this when I logged on earlier.
