There was something that impressed you enough to become a member of BB. What was it?

Tell us your first impression of BB (if you remember it! :) )

I remember the original Big Boards, it had a bit of a lacklustre look to it, and it wasn't the best organised. I didn't post because of that.

I posted in the forum Chat, Justin replied, I replied, He replied.

I like having conversations on a forum.

Loved the skin and the club 150 idea! :D

My first thought was how beautiful the skin was.

The IF resource archives, specifically the codes. That's it.

First thought: Shiny
Second thought: Blue-ish...my favorite color.

I saw the codes with previews..that makes things sooooooo much easier.

I firstly found this website via Google. I believe it was the previous Kman's skin; it was great with all those extra additions made by BB.

Couple of weeks ago I've realized this unique skin addition, it made me want to be more active at this community. Also the Club150 has gotten to me.

The first time i viewed this forum was about a month ago, just after the current version was brought about. I was in love with it, the skin is beautiful and the i love the structure of the forums and how organised it is etc.

Well I first visited this forum when it still had Kman's skin on. And because I keep stumbling on it I decided to join because the community is active (so it seems xD) and loads of resources!

Saw the skin, Loved it! Looks very organised, active and had a great community so I joined...

Too me at first it seemed sort of like the IF support forum in most ways... generally impersonal etc. etc. Then I came to realize that Big Boards really is a community and people aren't distanced from each other. Everybody really tries to help everybody else out. ^_^

I forget lol... I came here cause Helena was always posting in my topics and being helpful and I saw BB in her sig, so I decided to check it out. Wasn't active long though, until later until my ShoutBox topic got removed, and I remembered this place, so I asked if they could be the new place for it for a while. After that's when I really started noticing things.

Probably the friendliness and the small community style and the resources, to answer the question.

I think my first reaction was "Wow, what a great looking board", I ended up joining and posting along, and I got where I am now.

I didn't want to start a thread about this but figured I'd mention it here:

I've been seeing "Codabot" displayed in the "Chatroom" of this board at various times. I'm assuming this isn't a spam bot?

No, he's the bot that kind of runs the chat room. If you go in there you'll see what I mean. Mike can explain it better though. ^_^

Skin looked good and it has a good reputation =D

I didn't want to join, because it was laggy, and slow...

but, I joined, because I love TheCodingZone...

my favorite website of all time...

and, they were in the old BOTB contest...

and, I wanted to vote for them...

if I remember right, I needed posts in order to do so...

so, I had just put up some codes...

and, time after time again, I kept on putting up more and more codes...

sooner or later, I was compelled to stay here...

then, I got really happy, when you guys changed to this skin and version...

it doesn't even lag on me anymore...

and the skin is gorgeous...

plus, the fact that my new codes were like, almost ALWAYS getting commented on, helped keep me to stay too...

lol...

I love the colour of the board, everything is so clear cut like the buttons and the furoms. Very nice :)

The skin is very peaceful, and is now more organised and easy to access areas. I remember the old BB, I didn't really like it.

The Banner I thought was very attractive and simply gave an inspiring feeling. The Forums are carefully and very well organised :). I'd like to say Good Job! :D

I love light colors, and a very "cool" and "calm" layouts. Such as this one, which is what I was drawn to. I've seen to many bad looking layouts that were to bright for me to read, or just weren't attractive. You can never go wrong with light blues or grey...etc colors.

I actually found this board throught Cory's signature of IF Support. I was meaning to check it out for ages, and then I thought that i would have a little look at it.

I then went into the forum and thought that it was so beautifully laid out with active members, so I just took a notion to join BBR.

Now here I am enjoying myself on BBR. I think that it was a good find of mine and I haven't regretted joining yet.

I thought it all looked very professional and organized.

Just the frustration of not being able to post, no matter what I did! :blink:

i thought it was going to be small, and tiny like a midget.

But it was actually huge!

I think it was the offers, so much to choose from.The variation.

The appearance caught my eye first - then of course, a more thorough look at the services and resources on offer would have to have had summed up my decision to register. :cool:
