How do you and you forum go about planning the next skin for the board? Is it simply a team effort, or is it down to you?
We take about a month to plan ours... the team are just starting to get involved now, and its a real hands on effort!
We've only had to make plans for one skin. The other two we used were chosen from databases. For the one skin we did plan, we discussed the design and style of the skin on the test board that the skin was created on. We left a majority of decisions down to the skin designer; I did have a voice of opinion on everything though.

Initially I installed skins at my message board solely based on what I wanted and liked, and because there were few members, and post activity. As my site has grown I solicited the opinions of my members. Now, members are always involved in this activity.
My site is currently scheduled to convert to Zetaboards and I have found a ZB skin that closely resembles the current IF skin being used, as my members like the current skin.
I look forward to using the ZB skin,,,that is, if my site ever gets converted.
I usually make a print and ask staff about their input if they think it's horrible I just make a new print, sometimes I change my mind and make a new print anyways even if they do like it XD Then when I've finally decided what print to use I start the coding and make all the graphics.
Thankfully my board is on Zetaboards so there can be more then one theme on at the time so people can just switch to another one if they don't like it, and the ones that like it can use it.
