user posted image Strengths
  • Nice looking skin. The logo, maintitle and borders go great with each other.
  • The board is fairly small, which is a great way to start out, I think.
  • The graphic resources available are nice.
user posted image Weaknesses
  • The Google ads are a bit wide compared to the width of the board.
  • Inactivity for the most part. A prominent amount of posts for the amount of users, but the overall activity level of those users is very little it seems.
  • Nothing different that really pops out from the average graphic board.
user posted image Recommendations
  • The Music Lounge would be better off as an overall forum dedicated to entertainment, I think.
  • Perhaps a "other tutorials" forum would be nice, for people that use other graphic editors.
  • Try advertising more, and expand your site as it grows.

I totally forgot about this.
What made me laugh was this comment :

'Nothing different that really pops out from the average graphic board.'

And the suggestion about 'other tutorials 'forums, this would only work when someone actually would use something different then Photoshop or GIMP.
And since no one has asked for it....maybe it will be added in the future.

What do users find different about GFXfactor compared to the average graphic board?

A comment like this can actually be very helpful....it tells you that someone looking over your site is not seeing the things that you feel make your board special. It gives you the opportunity to think about how you can get that information in front of first time visitors in a more direct way.

I'm interested in reading your response to Cory's question above. :)

You're missing the point...

We never claimed to be 'different' then other Graphics boards.
That is why it made me laugh.

Actually, the slogan in your signature graphic, "There's only one factor...." suggests that there is something that makes you different.

I think it was a fair question.

And the obvious answer to me is that you are there. You have an incredible talent for design and execution of very sophisticated graphics. You continually wow people with them. I'm sure that is the biggest draw to your board. IMO, it would be good to capitalize on that in any way you can......in a humble way, of course. :)

Well 'Humble' is my middle name :R

But about the slogan...well it's basicly just a slogan which flows well with the board name.
No big secret there....
