Title: PandaMUGEN [SE]

PandaXpress - June 29, 2008 07:37 AM (GMT)
Board Name: PandaMUGEN
Board URL: http://forums.pandamugen.info/index/
Board Description: Anime/Discussions/RPG Forum
Specific things you would like a comment on (optional): As of right now, it's the #1 anime forum in the zetaboards directory; I still can't decide on what theme to use as the default. Most of the members like Vox.

I'm Mike and I'll be working on your evaluation. I've registered my account (Mwr247), so please validate it if you could. Thanks :)

Wasn't it on email validation? Lol. I approved you :)

Yes, but I never use any real email address for board evaluations or code support. why I chose to use "ggg@ggg.ggg" I don't even remember. But it's easy and it stuck, so that's why.

user posted image Strengths
  • Nice complete layout, everything seems to fit together nicely.
  • Simple yet decisive rules.
  • Large assortment of forums over many topics.
  • Active board with a good number of members.
  • Several interesting modifications installed.
  • Semi-integrated chatroom.
  • Guest information table, always a plus.
  • Favicon :D

user posted image Weaknesses
  • Your site is a real mess in IE. I'm getting at least 3 errors on the index, not to mention your link bar is gone, and everything is centered making it strange and confusing. When setting up a site, make sure to incorporate the 4 main browsers in the planning (IE, FireFox, Opera, and Safari).
  • I've looked over your board and I still can't find out what MUGEN is... Maybe I haven't looked hard enough, but something more out in the open explaining these things to people who might be unfamiliar with it would be good.

user posted image Recommendations
  • I recommend having some sort of topic telling exactly what your board is about. I've seen the forum information topic and the introduction one, but I think it would help draw in more new members if it were written out somewhere that you're an Anime/Discussions/RPG board.
  • As I said above, get some IE support. IE users still make up over half of all browsers, so this is very important (at the very least, solve those alerts. They get annoying really quick ;) ).

Besides the IE problem, couldn't find much else to complain about. Maybe that's why you're #1 ;)

LOL Mugen is a game engine and you can create custom chars and stages for it. My board was originally MUGEN based but everybody lost interest. The name just stuck :P

Nobody at my forum uses I.E. O_O But thanks for giving me the heads up

And thanks for the review Mwr :D
