Title: What do you see in a forum?

SlashBlade - July 24, 2008 10:58 PM (GMT)
What do you see in a great forum?

I want to see what everyone says about this!

... It will help me out...

Right now, courtesy and civility and respect are at the top of my list (can you tell what I'm currently dealing with a lack of on a couple of my forums? :hesitate: )

I don't insist the members be my friend. Not everybody in the world is going to get along. But I do insist on courtesy for everybody, as well as respect for the forum staff. "Please" and "Thank you" go a long way with me.

One of the things I look for when checking out a new forum is the level of courtesy people show each other. If that's not there, I won't be there either.

Good and interesting discussion topics, friendly members and staff. The looks is important too, but it's not the most important thing.

Couldn't have been said better. I agree with this.

Interesting Discussion, Friendly Faces, Helpful Staff, and seeing active members having fun are the things I see in forums.
