i met many times with people, offering me a help on some matters. But at the end, i found that they actually expecting for having a business with me.

and I met with another guy who says "hmm...we are a mutual friends, you can take something from me, i can be safe with you"...i was very surprised coz i didnt think anything in return for just making a friend with him.

Helping to me is doing something out of the kindness of my heart and not expecting anything in return for it. When you expect favors or other things in return then you're not really helping them. That's more of business transaction if you ask me.

I think helping is something you do to make yourself and others feel better, and not always looking to get something in return for doing it.
