Erm...okay. I'm kind of missing your point here, if you have one. The staff has been working very hard to drive up activity, and this place has been very active as of late. I'm sure there will be more active posting members in the near future.

Well, BB is primarily a resource board. I really think there would be a backlash if they started requiring an amount of posts to see the resources. As of now, guests can see some of them and then just by registering they can see all of them. By imposing some kind of post count requirement, it makes the resource section look more like a gimmick, like it is on other boards, where you get the required posts only to find that there's only a couple resource topics and pretty bad ones at that.

That is true, people generally join resource boards for the resources :\ Not exactly to keep active and such.

yea about that point i saw it in IFSZ .....i posted a topic & 5 days to reply

Resource boards will always have a low posting rate precisely because of people who are there to meet their needs and then move on. Look at the posting ratio on a huge board like ZBTZ (formerly IFSZ). I think BB's member to posts ratio is even a mite higher than theirs, and everyone thinks of them as a big, active board.
We just accept that is a part of running a resource board. However, we do try to do all we can to encourage a quality community, and I think we have a number of good and loyal members who agree that this is a good place to hang out as well as get help for your board.

That's an excellent point.
As someone who has taken advantage of the many features and resources at this board I admittedly decided, initially, to post here as a means of "giving back" something of myself as a registered member.
In retrospect it was never about that. I was able to see that a nice community of people have taken up residence here, so to speak, and I wanted to be a part of that. With demands on my time I will never have a huge post total at this site but I will continue to post here as I can.
Hopefully others who register will take the time to see that there's more than just features and resources at this board: they're a lot of nice people as well. ;)

Personally, I could care less if we grow larger. I hate the super sites where you really don't know everyone like you would on a smaller site. I've seen it happen one too many times and I hate it. So BB is fine for me as is :)

It's a very good size community. Not many boards have this many members and post. I see nothing wrong. All that can happen is for it to get more members.

Youve Just Won 1 Million Dollarsa
I like his view about it. I have a leased vB licsence with a community of 28,000 Members (Don't ask me how because I don't know) and had to close it because I couldnt manage everybody.

Just something i noticed that might help get people posting and staying.
I 've been a member here for ages but now i'm trying to get a few posts up to vote for a friends board (they'll vote for mine as well so it's a selfish reason) and i found that it takes nearly 2 minutes for a thread to open!!!
I've never had this problem on an IF board before since i had an emergency dial up service so i think it's a major problem.
Maybe something can be done ?

I'm sorry for disappearing guys xD I've been busy lately. I'll try to be more active.
