Title: one language?
Xarina - August 7, 2008 09:10 PM (GMT)
Do you think that one day there will be just one language in the world? Would the world be a better place?

No, just look how Esperanto turned out. :P
It would be nice, and I think it would certainly bring people together, but I don't think the world would ever be able to work that out....at least until the Chinese conquer us all. XD

Having just one language would be hard to spread around the world, and of course it would be hard for others to "forget" one language and just use the one.
Personally, it may work but it would take time.

It would be very difficult, and will cause alot of havok and arugments around the world taking away there rightful language.

Spanish is the main language in the world, others consider English to be the hardest to learn...yet all I know is English and that's how it's going to be forever. USA! USA! hahaha xD

Oh definitely. I would love that as I don't wish to see the Chinese in Malaysia suffer because of having to learn English, Chinese and also Malay lol
Besides that, I think communication problems will be greatly reduced.

Nope.
And I don't think the world would be that much of a better place. Most wars aren't caused because we can't understand the other countries anymore.
