Title: Please submit IF documentations and tutorials here

HelenaZF - July 3, 2006 02:50 AM (GMT)
We'd like to invite you to share some of the ways you've made your board operate in a special or unique way. I've found that some of the things I "worked out" to accomplish things I wanted to have on my boards have been helpful to others. I've written tutorials for many of them, and they are included in this forum. I know many others have also come up with their own special techniques for all kinds of board customizations. Please share some of yours!

First, check to see if a documentation has already been written on your subject by checking the Documentation Index. If not, proceed with your own topic. However if your material covers much of the same information as a topic already posted, we may elect to merge your documentation onto that thread.

You may submit your documentation or tutorial here in this forum. Once your submission is approved, your documentation will be moved to the appropriate sub-category. Thank you for contributing to the resources of Big Boards!

Guidelines for posting documentations/tutorials
  • Please start your title with the word you think most people would look for first to find your instruction. The archive forums are sorted alphabetically, so it is important that you choose the first word of your title carefully. Not enough room in the title? Use the topic description to further clarify what your document is about.

  • Please use proper grammar and spelling, and type in complete sentences.

  • If your documentation follows a step-by-step process, please enumerate that clearly by separating it into paragraphs or bulleted items.

  • If there is a view of your documentation on a test board, please provide a link.

  • You are encouraged to use screen shots or other images to help clearly communicate your topic to the reader.

  • Be open to staff editing suggestions, which will be sent to you by PM. They are meant to improve the flow and quality of your document. If you do not care to be responsible for your documentation once it is posted, please include the words "STAFF MAY EDIT" at the end of your post.
