FF Your Issue/Question: As an Admin, I have changed my username, on the main index page my name is showing up as my new name ..but in my new posts ..its still showing up as my old name. I also have a shoutbox, where my old name is still active there too. Could someone please point me in the right direction? Thanks

I deleted the existing topics which I had started, because when I posted in them it came up as the old user name. The new name would only appear if I started a new topic. I am having troubles with the shoutbox which is attached to the forum though. I can see it on all pages ..but when I try to post ..its giving me an error message saying 'You dont have permisson to shout' I can access and shout from the shoutbox topic though, but not directly into the shoutbox itself. Thank you so much for whateva advice you can give me

So now, after a name change, any topic which contains your old name will continue to post that for any new posts in the thread. Not as nice as having all new posts with your new name, I know.

BB Alpha Posts: 3 Group: Members Member #11,203 Joined: February 13, 2009	Many thanks Helena I'm still mystified re: the shoutbox. It allows me to see the mod area etc..but just wont let me shout. Could the lag also cause this problem too? Everything was good until I changed my name.
