Changes to BB after Planet Nexus opens

We attribute that largely to the establishment of ZNR as the Zathyus official resource board and also to the general trend of the decline of resource boards. We've done everything we can think of to make this the best community possible but its clear that it's time is coming to an end as a working board. We'd like to give you a heads up on our plans for once Planet Nexus opens, which should be very soon now. First we will close the support forums to further new topics. That will happen immediately after PN opens. Replies may still be made in order for members to finish up any requests that have been made that are still unresolved. [Edit: January 10. New support topics disabled] We will give members a reasonable time to process the change and collect any information that they would like to save from their posts or any others on the board. And then, we will close the community forums to guests and turn the resource and solved support forums into archives which will be read only. The databases will remain open for anyone to use, although they will no longer be updated. The exception will be the board tools. We will continue to add items to that database that we think would be helpful to users. Why not just leave open? We anticipate that our management team will need to focus on the demands that PN will present. We don't feel we can adequately cover two boards with our current personnel. We hope that those of you who have enjoyed will also enjoy PN and will not hesitate to join up and make the move with us. If you have an questions about the transition, that's what this topic is for.

Member areas will be hidden from guest viewing. You will still be able to log in and see and search the board's content, but not post.

What you will do is replace the BBNetworkBar that is on your site now with the NexusBar. (As you can see from the preview version installed here, it is similar looking.) Your "directory" information will all be imported automatically to your NexusTree page. You will then be able to add and edit new content from a control panel located on the NexusBar.
